I Want to Be Needed

My baby boys are not baby boys anymore. How do I make this "growing up" thing stop?


We were getting in the van the other day. They usually get in by themselves, but there was a box I had to mail in the way of the door. I said to the boys, "I'll come help you if you need me to."


Tristan: "I can do it myself."


Colton: "I don't need you Momma."


And then he proceeded to say it over and over and over. He says everything over and over, but this particularly hurt. Brought tears to my eyes, as a matter of fact.
